Joao Felix’s future is still unclear. While Atlético de Madrid no longer counts on its young Portuguese player, the club from the Spanish capital has not yet found a way out for its player recruited for just over 127 million euros in 2019 from Benfica. After loaning the versatile Portuguese striker to Chelsea during the second half of last season, the return of the native of Viseu poses several problems for the management of Atlético. More in the odor of sanctity in Madrid, the 23-year-old even declared his love for FC Barcelona during an interview with Fabrizio Romano.

Unfortunately, Joao Felix does not seem to be one of the Catalan club’s priorities during this summer transfer window. The former Benfica player will therefore have to find another formation likely to be interested in his profile. And that’s good, the Portuguese team seems to want to repatriate its nugget to the fold, as reported by our Spanish colleagues from ace. Especially since Benfica fulfills one of the conditions imposed by the Portuguese player, namely that the club he will join to leave Atlético must compete in the Champions League next season, which is the case of the Lisbon club.
