Kylian Mbappé on the bench or in the stands all season? This is the threat currently hanging over the head of the tricolor striker. PSG could go so far as to take this very extreme decision to push the Frenchman to leave for Real Madrid this summer. Only, the latter obviously intends to stay, just as the people of Madrid do not seem particularly hot to make an offer this summer knowing that they can sign him for free in a year.

Clearly, PSG are ready to play the big guns to punish the player, and the UNFP is monitoring the development of the situation very carefully. And for good reason, the champion of France cannot do what he wants with the player. There SER padlock thus appealed to an expert in sports law, and the answers of the latter are quite clear.

Justice is on the player’s side

The PSG thus risks large penalties if it were to leave the player in the stands. The FFF could in particular sanction the PSG financially according to information from the media. If FIFA cannot really intervene in this file, it is the Federation which should take over this file and thus dictate sanctions against the club.

The player could also go to court if he considers it necessary, and the labor law would go a priori in his direction. A stand all season could even go so far as to unilaterally release the player from his contract, and Mbappé could even recover compensation as compensation. Suffice to say that in this case, it is Mbappé who risks coming out on top…
