Olympique de Marseille stirred up the summer period by carrying out a most ambitious transfer window. Among the Marseille club’s potential targets was Andreas Pereira, Fulham attacking midfielder.
However, the track leading to the Brazilian was abandoned by Marseille leaders, who considered the cost of the operation too high. A decision which disappointed the player, eager to wear the colors of OM and particularly seduced by the idea of working under the orders of coach Roberto De Zerbi.
Pereira dreams of OM and De Zerbi
“It would be great (to go to Marseille, editor’s note), given the way De Zerbi makes his teams play. We will see in January or at the end of the season if a transfer will take place or if I will stay at Fulham,” informed Auriverde to PL Brasil.
It remains to be seen whether OM will reactivate this option in the future. Under contract with the Cottagers until June 2026, Pereira is valued at 20 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
