PSG suffered their third defeat in five Champions League matches on Tuesday evening. A fairly logical defeat recorded on Bayern’s pitch (0-1).
Luis Enrique, the coach of the Parisian team, agreed to take responsibility for this failure. And this is good because he is designated as the main culprit of this new oddity but also of the very bad start to the season in C1.
“Luis Enrique messed up all the way”
This Wednesday, among those who attacked the Asturian technician there is Christophe Dugarry. The former French footballer does not carry his former teammate at Barça in his heart. And this is even less the case after PSG’s failed outing in Bavaria.
“How against Bayern can you field a lineup that you’ve never worked on before? He played without a center forward and invented a four-man midfield, with these two center forwards. They make things up in his head. Of course the players can’t understand! He messed up all along the line. It’s so obvious it’s pathetic.”
The 98 world champion then said he was certain that Paris had no game plan at the Allianz Arena: “The only chances are on two balls lost by Bayern, but apart from that there is nothing. PSG’s offensive play is catastrophic. But what does he want to put in place? What was he expecting? The only interest was to thwart Bayern’s first attempts. Paris is not a possession team. It’s fiddly, but as soon as the level rises, it can’t do anything.”
