After a rout in Monaco (1-2) in September, FC Barcelona is preparing to face a second Ligue 1 team this Tuesday in the Champions League. The Catalan club will welcome Brest to the Lluís Companys stadium for the 5th day of the League phase.
At a press conference this Monday, Barça coach Hansi Flick reminded that his team would not underestimate this next opponent. And for good reason, the Breton club, considered the little thumb of the competition this season, currently occupies a surprising 4th place in the ranking, ahead of Barcelona, 6th. Undefeated with three wins and a draw, including an impressive 1-1 against Bayer Leverkusen, the Ty’Zefs continue to defy the odds.
Flick warns against Brest
“For us it will be very important to have control of the ball and finish our attacks to get the three points. Brest did very well in the previous matches, they have 10 points and we saw what they did in Salzburg (4-0),” confided the German coach.
For the Blaugranas, no outcome other than victory is envisaged. “They are a good team and we have to focus on this game and that is what we are going to do, our goal is to beat them”concluded the former Germany coach.
