The 27-year-old doorman will have the heavy task of making people forget David De Gea, free who announced his departure from the Red Devils after 12 years, in the Mancunian cages. While he should take his first steps with his new team in the coming days, the Cameroonian is already unanimous in the hearts of his partners, like Raphaël Varane.
In an interview given to ESPNthe Mancunian defender believes that the presence of André Onana will be beneficial to the whole group, the latter being renowned for his kicking game and his ability to build from the back. “He (André Onana editor’s note) arrives with his qualities and we will have to build a relationship and trust. I think he is very good with the ball, very comfortable. He will bring a lot of confidence to the team and the defense. I can’t wait to play with him.”said the former Real Madrid player.
