After Bayern Munich’s big victory yesterday, the Bavarians’ direct competitors were in turn playing this 11th day of the Bundesliga. They experienced mixed fortunes since RB Leipzig, 2nd in the ranking, suffered a stunning setback at Hoffenheim (4-3). Marco Rose’s players conceded two goals in the last 10 minutes, while leading the score. The RBL allows Bayern to maintain an 8-point lead, and Bayer Leverkusen to return to one point behind.

The reigning champion defeated Heidenheim, despite a very complicated start to the match. Trailing by two goals, Xabi Alonso’s charges finally won 5-2, notably thanks to a hat-trick from Schick. Just behind, in 5th place, Dortmund is relaunching with this big 4-0 success against Fribourg. Stuttgart also made a nice jump in the standings (7th) after their 2-0 victory over Bochum. Finally, Wolsburg beat Union Berlin 1-0.
