Ruud Van Nistelrooy should not remain inactive for very long. The former Manchester United manager is in pole position to become Coventry City’s new manager.
Van Nistelrooy is free of any commitments after being pushed out by new manager Ruben Amorim this week. Despite his good results as a temporary worker, the Batavian did not fit into Portugal’s plans.
Van Nistelrooy in competition with Lampard
According to Talksport, the former striker should therefore bounce back in the Championship. Coventry are looking for a replacement for Mark Robins, who was sacked as manager at the start of November.
Former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is also in talks for the role. But RVN clearly holds the rope to be nominated.
The club is currently in seventeenth place in the Championship table.
