France – Israel: the enormous financial loss of the FFF

The FFF is not really rubbing its hands. While the French team hosts Israel tomorrow evening (8:45 p.m.), a huge shortfall awaits the 3F. As explained The Teamthe Federation must attract 60,000 supporters to be profitable under its contract with the Stade de France. However, only 15,000 supporters are expected to attend the Nations League match, which does not unleash passions, in particular because of its low prestige, its relatively lower stakes, its context, but also the absence of stars.

Usually, the FFF achieves between 3 and 4 million euros in box office revenue (the FFF pays more than 2.5 million euros per match), a figure which should be divided by ten this Thursday. As for its costs, they should be significantly higher than usual, with 3,500 stewards mobilized instead of the usual 2,000. In total, the financial results of the meeting should impact federal finances to the tune of 3.5 million euros.
