Didier Deschamps announced the list of twenty-three French players selected for the November gathering and for the two Nations League matches that the Blues will play respectively against Israel and Italy, on November 14 and 17. A month after beating these same Israelis (1-4) before following up with a success in Belgium (1-2), the Blues will try to finish the calendar year well, they who currently occupy second place in group 2 , with a small point behind the Italian leader and five more than the Belgians.

Big surprise however on the French side since for the second consecutive rally, Didier Deschamps did not call his captain Kylian Mbappé. A big twist and an absence which adds to that already announced of Aurélien Tchouaméni who was injured Tuesday evening during the defeat of his Real Madrid team against AC Milan in the Champions League (1- 3). The national coach has also chosen to innovate at the goalkeeper position by calling on Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier for the first time. The latter takes the place of Alphonse Areola.
