Stade Brestois impresses! This Wednesday evening as part of the 4th day of the Champions League, SB29 won on the pitch of Sparta Prague with a score of 2 goals to 1.

A more than valuable success for the Brestois who now see the round of 16 of the competition. Éric Roy’s men are in 4th place in the general classification with a total of 10 points on the clock.

A courageous and effective meeting for the sB29

Stade Brestois continues to surprise everyone in this 2024-2025 edition of the Champions League. The French once again mastered their subject against the Czech team. Enterprising and efficient, Roy’s players will make the difference in the first act. Edimilson Fernandes opened the scoring and his goal counter in C1 in the 37th minute of play (37th).

An achievement that comes at the right time for Pierre Lees-Melou’s partners.

Upon returning from the locker room, SB29 continued with the same dynamic despite the opposing opportunities. But at the end of the match, the Brestois managed to make the serious break with an own goal from Kaan Kairinen (2-0.80). The Czechs reduced the score at the end of the match with a goal from Victor Olatunji (2-1, 90+2) but which came too late to change the course of the game.

Brestois continues to dream of the European Cup and becomes a serious contender for direct qualification for the round of 16 of the tournament. Gorgeous !
