FC Barcelona could try a coup by attracting Vitinha from Paris Saint-Germain. Despite his satisfaction at PSG, the 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder, named best Parisian player last season by Daniel Riolo, is attracting European interest. Author of 9 goals, his performances impressed, and his agent Jorge Mendes would have introduced Vitinha to Barça president Joan Laporta during the Ballon d’Or ceremony at the end of October, according to Relevo. Vitinha in Barça’s sights
Vitinha, who is under contract with PSG until 2027, nevertheless affirmed his attachment to Paris. During an interview on
RMChe declared: “Every year that goes by, you become more attached to the club. (…) I feel very good here and I want to continue”. However, discussions between the parties continue to adjust his contract, and the possibility of an offer from Barça could complicate the situation. With PSG and Barcelona often competing in the market, a Vitinha transfer would add a new episode to their rivalry.
