Geek Journal deploring for his part that it is
“more than one new update”. To counter the weariness that seems to be setting in among consumers, American publishing has a solution.

EA Sports, the big poker move from 2025?

When presenting its financial results for the third quarter of 2024 at the end of October, Electronic Arts indicated that it could change its model by no longer releasing a game every year. Instead, the company could offer a live-service gaming system, with regular updates and more financial transactions, both for its popular football simulation and for all its other sports games.

This new strategy would allow the Californian firm to have more stable revenues and avoid a possible hiccup linked to the release of a new game that would displease the public. There would certainly be no more launch with great fanfare for the last
EA Sports FC nor any particular enthusiasm, but Electronic Arts would undoubtedly benefit by increasing the loyalty of players. It remains to be seen whether the publisher will try this poker move next year.
