Monday evening, Vitinha learned of his place in the Ballon d’Or rankings. He finished 27ewhich constitutes great recognition for the season he had in 2023/2024 with PSG. The Portuguese believes that he would not have displayed such performance without the work done with his Parisian coach, Luis Enrique.
“Individually, he made me progress”he declared this Tuesday in Rothen s’ignée, on RMC.
“He made me reach a level that I didn’t expect to reach, so early on. I expected to reach this level, but not in one year. He helped me get to this. Collectively, when you look at last season, we won the Coupe de France, Ligue 1, we reached the semi-final of the Champions League and you think it was a bad season? It was an incredible season. We arrived in the last four in C1, we didn’t get through for nothing. We have to see why we didn’t pass. »
Vitinha can’t “say anything bad” about Luis Enrique
For Vitinha, Luis Enrique’s merit is not limited to his work as a tactician: “I like that, I like things to be very clear. I identify a lot with his game ideas, tactically. On a human level, he is incredible.”
The former Porto player then indicated that Paris continues to gain strength and that it risks being formidable during the second part of the season. “PSG now is stronger than last year, and will be even stronger”he assured.
