This Sunday evening, AS Roma traveled to Fiorentina for the 9th day of Serie A. An important meeting between two teams who really need points to maintain their European hopes. And in this duel of conquerors, Fiorentina taught the Giallorossi a lesson. While Moise Kean opened the scoring in the 9th minute of play, Lucas Beltran doubled the lead from the penalty spot (2-0, 17th). And despite Manu Koné reducing the gap before the break (39th), Moise Kean scored the double before the break (3-1, 41st).

Returning from the locker room, the former Louve, Edoardo Bove, made matters worse for Roma who drank the chalice to the dregs with the expulsion of Mario Hermoso in the 65th minute. Six minutes later, Mats Hummels even scored against his side to confirm the dirty Roman evening (5-1, 71st). With this crushing defeat, Roma remains tenth. Good operation for the Viola which climbs to 4th place.
