Real Madrid will try to secure another victory in the Spanish first division during their match against Celta Vigo on Saturday evening at the Municipal de Balaidos stadium. Los Blancos are currently second in La Liga, with 21 points from nine matches, while Celta are in ninth place, with 13 points from nine matches.
Real wants to prepare well for the Clasico
Real Madrid are not in the best form at the start of the 2024-25 season, but they are still second in the La Liga table, just three points behind leaders Barcelona ahead of next weekend’s Clasico.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side won 2-0 against Villarreal before the international break, following a 1-1 draw against Atlético de Madrid in the Madrid derby and a 1-0 defeat against Lille in the Champions League .
The European champions have a busy end to the month, as they host Borussia Dortmund in Europe in the middle of next week, before hosting FC Barcelona in the league the following weekend.
No worries about Mbappé
Real Madrid have won their last three matches against Celta without conceding a goal, but as previously reported, the champions have won just one of their four away matches in the league this year, with draws against Mallorca, Las Palmas and Atlético.
Some feared that the arrival of Kylian Mbappé would upset the balance of the team, but the Frenchman has scored five goals in eight league matches this season, while Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have three each in La Liga. The former PSG player, despite his personal problems, started well against Celta.
