As part of the 8th day of Serie A, AC Milan had to win against Udinese to come back to Inter Milan and put themselves back on the podium. It started very well for the Rossoneri with the quick opening score from Chukwueze (1-0, 13th). But a few moments later, Reijnders was sent off for a questionable action with Lovric (30th).

Ten against eleven, Milan held on and was saved by VAR just before half-time, after Ehizibue was flagged in an offside position (45th). In the second half, the ACM held on… until the very last minute before Kabasele thought of equalizing, before being declared offside (1-1, 90th+5). Saved on the wire, AC Milan won and moved up to 3rd place, thus relegating Udinese to sixth place. A perfect move for Paulo Fonseca, the Rossonero manager.
