Jesse Lingard has defended Paul Pogba’s record at Manchester United. The FC Seoul striker spoke about the Juventus midfielder in his column for The Times. He was very complimentary of him, writing: “A lot of people want to judge him, but I always think, ‘You don’t know him as a person.’ If you sit down and talk to Paul you will find that he is one of the most humble people you will ever meet and loves football like crazy. He’s so dedicated, he has his own personal trainers, his physios, his chefs.”
“You haven’t seen the real Pogba”
“ With Pogba we got on from day one, when he arrived at United’s academy at the age of 16, and I love the boy.”added Lingard. The latter will certainly be very delighted to see his former teammate return to the field next March, following the reduction of his suspension for consumption of prohibited products.
The former England international then expressed solidarity with Pogba in relation to the misfortunes he went through: “It is true that we have a dream career, but we are also human beings and you might be surprised to see how of people going through certain situations.”
Besides Pogba, Lingard indicated that there is another former MU member whose fall particularly affected him: “I sent a message of support to Jadon Sancho and we spoke regularly when he was going through difficult times. difficult at United.
