The French team is back. Without Kylian Mbappé, absent from this gathering, and Antoine Griezmann, newly retired international, the Blues face Israel, in Budapest, on the occasion of the 3rd day of the League of Nations (kick-off 8:45 p.m., a match to follow live on FM). Beaten in September by Italy (1-3) and then victorious over Belgium (2-0), Deschamps’ men have already burned a joker in the competition while the Israelis, who “receive” on neutral ground due to of the international geopolitical context, lost the first two matches.

For this meeting, Didier Deschamps, also deprived of Kanté at this gathering, remains faithful to his 4-2-3-1 with Olise in support of Kolo Muani with Dembélé and Nkunku in the corridors. Tchouaméni, promoted to captain, is aligned in midfield with Camavinga. Behind, it’s classic with Maignan in front of a quartet made up of Koundé, Konaté, Saliba and Théo Hernandez. On the Israeli side, coach Ben Shimon opts for a 3-5-2 with a large majority of players playing at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Gloukh, a very promising midfielder from Salzburg, is lined up in midfield. Announced as starters, midfielder Peretz and Union Saint Gilloise striker Halaili start on the bench.
