Real Madrid continue to wait to see how things go between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain, but some within the club believe they might not wait much longer.
PSG continue to maintain their firm position that if the Bondynois do not renew his contract, he must leave this summer. The French striker has also not changed his position, namely that he will end his contract at the Parc des Princes next summer, and that he will theoretically leave for free – which is something PSG want to avoid.
Real Madrid have been a graveyard in terms of news on Mbappé in recent weeks as they wait to see how things develop. The general idea is that Los Blancos are happy to wait until next summer unless PSG and Mbappé come to the negotiating table with a proposal.
However, Manu Sainz told Diario AS that club employees believe that Mbappé will be presented as a Real Madrid player between August 1 and 3. It’s clear that this is a rumor among the club’s employees, rather than information from above, but that’s the prevailing feeling nonetheless.
Real Madrid have just left the Spanish capital for the United States, where they have started their pre-season tour. If so, they would have just returned from the United States. This would require a relatively quick transaction, which has not been the case with the Mbappé case so far.
