Former Italian striker Mario Balotelli could make his comeback in the transalpine championship in the coming days.

Former OM and Nice player Mario Balotelli is reportedly in Torino’s sights after Duvan Zapata’s long-term injury last weekend.

The striker finished his second season with Turks Adana Demirspor, and is yet to find a new club, remaining a free agent throughout the summer.

Balotelli in competition with two Frenchmen?

The former Italy international has recently spoken of his desire to return to Serie A and now that Torino captain Zapata is out for several months with a knee injury, he could make his return to Italy.

According to information from Tuttosport, Balotelli would be one of the main targets of Toro, who would now be ready to offer a contract to the 34-year-old player to compensate for the absence of the Colombian.

However, the list of replacements also includes Isaac Success, Eric Choupo-Moting, Wissam Ben Yedder, Mariano and veteran Kevin Gameiro. Targets that could possibly pass in front of Super Mario.
