Already much criticized, the main broadcaster of Ligue 1 did not improve its image by finding a way to miss the kick-off of the second half of Lyon-Nantes.

After seven days of the championship, the results are still worrying for DAZN, the main broadcaster of Ligue 1. The figures released in the press concerning the number of subscribers to the channel are alarming (around 100,000 subscribers, which is very far from of the 1.5 million initially hoped for), and the British platform continues to attract criticism for its retransmissions.

What is DAZN accused of? For example, not employing consultants for some of its matches, or placing numerous, long pages of advertising before matches or at half-time. Before Lyon-Nantes, after going on air at 2:50 p.m., or 10 minutes before kick-off, DAZN placed two ages of advertising after two small interventions by its special correspondents on the pitch.

When DAZN misses the start of the second half…

“DAZN which goes on the air barely 10 minutes before the match to stick two pages of ads on us when the players return but can’t wait for this channel to go down for fuck’s sake. Such amateurism is unbearable.”said an Internet user on X.

To make matters worse, DAZN blocked so much advertising at half-time that the broadcaster of the match found a way to miss the kick-off of the second half between OL and the Canaries. Not ideal for improving your image…
