Following the 9th day of La Liga, Espanyol Barcelona welcomed the Mallorca club to Catalonia, on the lawn of the Stage Front Stadium. A rather balanced match which was finally won by the locals (2-1), more efficient and realistic in front of goal. Indeed, with the opening score of Marash Kumbulla (18th), it was Jofré Carreras who doubled the lead (47th) to secure Barcelona’s success. The reduction in Raíllo’s score (68th) changed nothing.
In the ranking, Espanyol temporarily climbs to 12th place, while Mallorca remains in a good position despite the defeat with this fine 6th position. Next weekend, the Pericos will face Athletic Bilbao, while the Bermellones will play at home against Rayo, during the 10th day of the Spanish championship.
