FC Barcelona could well hit the jackpot during the Clásico against Real Madrid, this Sunday at the Spotify Camp Nou. As the two rivals prepare to face each other in one of the most anticipated meetings of the season, the Catalan club hopes to set a new record for ticket revenue. According to SPORTthere are now only very few places available, despite particularly high prices. On sale since September 29, the cheapest tickets were initially offered between approximately 299 and 640 euros. But with high demand, the last classic seats still available now cost between 1,249 and 2,099 euros, depending on their location in the stadium. For supporters wishing to enjoy a VIP experience, prices skyrocket even further, with offers ranging from 2,400 to 8,000 euros. Impressive amounts which could allow Barça to exceed the 16.4 million euros in revenue recorded during the last Clásico played at the Camp Nou, last May.

This previous confrontation, won by FC Barcelona, allowed the Blaugranas to win the title of champion of Spain and establish a historic ticketing record. With 16.4 million euros collected, the club had far exceeded the 13.9 million generated during the Clásico of the previous season, organized at the Montjuïc Olympic stadium. This time, several elements explain the excitement around the meeting, starting with the return of José Mourinho to the Camp Nou on the Real Madrid bench. The good start to the season for Hansi Flick’s men and the rivalry between the two teams also contribute to increasing demand. Despite a reception capacity still limited by the stadium renovation work, Barcelona leaders could therefore record a new financial performance. For the moment, no official estimate has been communicated by the club, but the pace of sales suggests a particularly lucrative evening for Catalan finances.
