Lazio continues its excellent momentum. Winners of Parma (2-1) this Saturday evening during the 8th day of Serie A, Gennaro Gattuso’s men achieved another success at the Olimpico and took sole lead of the championship. After a lively first period, marked in particular by a goal disallowed to Gustav Isaksen for offside and several decisive saves from Christos Mandas, the Laziali made the difference after returning from the locker room. Kenneth Taylor opened the scoring with a superb left-footed shot from outside the area (50th), before Diego Carlos scored against his side from a cross from Nuno Tavares (58th).

But Parma did not give up and maintained the suspense until the end. Despite several opportunities to widen the gap, Lazio let the visitors come back in the final seconds, reducing the score in the 95th minute. Insufficient, however, to prevent the Biancocelesti from gaining three new precious points. Already winners over Juventus on the previous day, Gattuso’s men confirmed their excellent form and moved alone to the top of the standings, while Parma remained stuck at the bottom of the table.
