Manchester City are still waiting to hear the consequences of the case linked to alleged financial fair play violations. While the club has been found guilty of 114 of the 115 breaches examined by an independent Premier League commission, possible sanctions continue to raise many questions. Enzo Fernández, who arrived at the Citizens in September, was questioned about this situation and the fear of possible reprisals in certain stadiums. The Argentine midfielder preferred to display a cautious position, without commenting on the outcome of the case.
“These are issues that the club manages and on which we, as players, cannot intervene greatly. We try to concentrate on training, matches and victories. Obviously we are informed about what is happening, but it would make no sense to exhaust ourselves with something that does not depend on us.”explained Fernández in an interview with The Nation. The Argentine world champion thus lets management manage this sensitive issue and intends to remain focused on the sporting objectives of Manchester City, which this season is targeting the Premier League, the Champions League and the other competitions in which it participates.
