Named like last season among the 30 finalists for the Ballon d’Or, Achraf Hakimi hopes above all to see a Parisian triumph, a year after the coronation of Ousmane Dembélé (Hakimi finished 6th). Asked by CBS after PSG’s victory last night against Manchester City (2-4), the Moroccan international admitted that he hoped to win the most prestigious individual award, but without making it an obsession.

“I hope that a PSG player can bring this trophy back to Paris and that we will celebrate it with the supporters and the team. If I hope to win it? It’s a special trophy, everyone wants to win it but even if I don’t win it, I’m very happy to be nominated. For me, the most important thing is the collective trophies.
