It was announced in Qatar, in Serie A and even in Brazil… But everything indicates that the future of Jadon Sancho, free of any contract, could be written on the side of Getafe. After recruiting Dani Carvajal, the club from the southern suburbs of Madrid wants to make another big media coup, as indicated DAZN Spain. The Azulones are already working on his possible arrival. Getafe, however, have yet to find a formula to be able to register the 26-year-old England winger’s salary, since the club is limited by the financial fair play constraints of La Liga, and has already recorded a big salary recently with Carvajal.

It must be said that the Madrid team, currently fourteenth in La Liga, sees things big and clearly wants to take advantage of the free player market to strengthen itself, while the transfer window is not open. In addition to the arrival of the former captain of Real Madrid, already official, and the possible signing of Sancho, the club from the Spanish capital had also tempted Renato Sanches, as revealed by us in September.

Sergio Ramos and Carvajal reunited in Getafe?

The club is also negotiating the arrival of the emblematic Dani Parejo, well known to La Liga fans for his experiences at Valencia and Villarreal. El País also mentions the name of… Sergio Ramos. The two players are said to be very close to an agreement. Eager to offer new weapons to his coach Pepe Bordalas after a rather poor start to the season, club president Angel Torres is using his own money as collateral with La Liga, in order to be able to increase the salary cap set by the championship. A sometimes controversial and sociological character in Real Madrid, the Spanish businessman is sometimes criticized, sometimes mocked, in particular because Getafe is a club which generally has few supporters and struggles to fill its stadium, despite better attendances in recent years.

Even if he cannot offer XXL salaries or titles, he has a very clear strategy to convince all these pretty names to sign for Getafe: allow them to find playing time in a competitive championship after several months without playing, while waiting to have more financially interesting offers elsewhere. The Spanish press even indicates that these players could have clauses to be able to leave the club… as early as January. Particularly in the case of proposals coming from Gulf countries or the MLS. For its part, the club wins by obtaining experienced players, who would not necessarily need time to adapt, at a lower cost. A short-term vision a priori, but which can make the difference in an overall young workforce. Suffice to say that the name of Getafe is likely to come up very often in the transfer window rumors in the coming weeks…
