Sixteenth in the Liga standings after four defeats, two draws and two victories in eight matches, Osasuna made a radical decision. Just three months after hiring Luis Miguel Ramis, the Pamplona-based club chose to fire their coach. To try to redress the situation, the leaders recalled Jagoba Arrasate. Unemployed since his dismissal from Mallorca in February 2026, the 46-year-old coach returns to Navarre to help a club he coached between 2018 and 2024.
“Club Atlético Osasuna has reached an agreement with Jagoba Arrasate to serve as coach until June 30, 2029. The second coach with the most matches in the club’s history returns to the club to sign a contract covering the remainder of the current season and two additional seasons. For his second term at the head of the red team, he will once again be able to count on Bittor Alkiza as assistant coach. Details concerning the technical team which will support this new project will be communicated soon”we can read in the press release.
