After three weeks of international break, AS Saint Etienne will return to competition this Saturday (8 p.m.), on the occasion of the reception of Rodez, on behalf of the 8e
day of Ligue 2.
A meeting for which Ian Cathro will be deprived of his captain Julien Le Cardinal. The latter was the victim of a major crutch just before the break in Metz and has not yet fully recovered.
The Cardinal too fair
“Julien Le Cardinal will not be available. He took a big impact on his muscle against Metz. He took the field again, but it’s too tight for this weekend”indicated the Saint-Etienne coach at a press conference this Thursday.
Ian Cathro will not also be able to count on Mahmoud Jaber, who is however close to a return. “Mahmoud Jaber worked with the group this morning, but his return will not be this Saturday. It is likely that Marten Paalberg will continue with the reserve after a good first 45 minutes against Sion (in a friendly)”indicated the Scottish technician.
