Raúl Asencio took advantage of an interview with the Spanish daily A.S. to look back on a particularly complicated period of his young career. Now more mature, the player trained at the Madrid club accepts his youthful mistakes and seems to have become aware of certain responsibilities linked to his status as a professional footballer. A difficult period which would have allowed him to take a step back, while also understanding more the privilege of wearing the Real Madrid jersey.
Asked in particular about the legal case in which he had been involved with former teammates, and which ended with his exoneration last September, Asencio nevertheless wanted to defend his position. “ I didn’t kill anyone, I didn’t do anything. But beyond that, it was a procedure. I had a clear conscience and that’s the most important thing “, he explained. The Spanish defender claims to have always approached this period with serenity, convinced of having committed no fault in this matter. He now wants to put these last eventful months behind him and devote himself fully to his career in Madrid.
