Manchester City returns to competition for the first time since being found guilty of breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules for the period between 2009 and 2018. The English club has appealed this decision, believing that this judgment “contains manifest material errors of law, principle and fact» but there is a very big risk. When it was time to return to the field with a first choice piece at Anfield against Liverpool on Sunday (5:30 p.m.), Erling Haaland wanted to send a message to the supporters.
“They’re going to have a good timeassures the Norwegian on Sky Sports. We must stay united. We must support each other and remain hopeful. Whatever happens in life, we must always keep smiling. So you have to stay positive, look to the future, try to win matches, enjoy the situation and achieve victory. We must stay united. We must show love to one another. Let’s stay united, enjoy the journey and smile.» Hope is still there according to the attacker.

“I care a lot about the club, I must say. I care a lot about the supporters because I am a supporter myself, and I share their feelings» concludes the attacker, whose future is necessarily called into question depending on the convictions which will be handed down, or not. He is far from being the only one in his club. “I’m very calm, to be honest. The club was very clear. We have complete confidencesaid the technician on the club’s television to better deflate the matter. We understand ambient noise, but our priority is what we can control, and we can only control the terrain. (…) The players only focus on that, they absolutely don’t care about the rest. They know their job and they know the noise is there, but they don’t pay too much attention to it. They only focus on how we can compete with Liverpool and how, together with the fans, we can try to win at Anfield.» This is what is said.
