Everything is going well at FC Barcelona. After seven days of La Liga contested, the Blaugrana club currently occupies first place with four points ahead of Real Madrid. Barça also launched its European campaign well in the Champions League (victory against Feyenoord, 5-1) and has high ambitions this season. In this positive context, several executives continue to play an important role in the Catalan project, like Dani Olmo.
The Spanish international (61 caps) has already provided three assists in eight matches this season (342 minutes played). The recent world champion is also coming out of a successful international break with Spain, as he delivered three goals in three matches. Despite this interesting start to the year, faced with increased competition in his club area, the future of the former RB Leipzig player is likely to be talked about in the coming months. The 28-year-old player would indeed be likely to leave FC Barcelona.
A return to the Bundesliga?
Among the suitors, Bayern Munich is particularly interested. According to Sky Sports Newsthe Munich club has already placed Olmo on its list to anticipate the possible departures of Michael Olise or Jamal Musiala. Information confirmed by Mundo Deportivowhich ensures that Bavarian interest is very real. Even before his return to Barça in the summer of 2024 for 61 million euros, Bayern had already tried to position themselves on the player. Under contract until 2030, Olmo remains focused on his Catalan adventure for the moment and wishes, for now, to win all possible titles with Barça.
Bayern could nevertheless return to the charge as early as the next summer transfer window. The Munich management wants to strengthen its offensive sector and is looking for more creativity and versatility. A profile which corresponds to the qualities of Olmo, capable of evolving in the axis as well as on the wings. For the moment, Olmo has not received any concrete offer and has shown no desire to leave Barça. On the club side, no official offer has been sent to FC Barcelona and other major European clubs, particularly in the Premier League, are also monitoring the file. It remains to be seen whether the Blaugranas will fully open the door to a transfer, if interest turns into offers.
