Obviously disagreeing with certain methods of his predecessor at the head of the Blues, Didier Deschamps, Zinedine Zidane has decided to make a big change in managerial terms.

The transition from Didier Deschamps to Zinedine Zidane on the bench of the France team marks a true philosophical revolution: an end to the defensive and athletic pragmatism of “DD” in favor of a football of possession and creativity based on high pressing. This tactical change is accompanied by the establishment of a new living environment focused on the protection of the group and changes in the way of managing the troops.

And this break already noted with his predecessor does not stop there… According to daily information
The Team“Zizou” wishes to set up an organization to personally supervise a large part of its international matches. His faithful assistant David Bettoni, Fabien Barthez but also the more discreet Stéphane Plancque or Farid Tabet will also multiply the observations.

This physical presence is accompanied by a desire to communicate much more regularly and directly with players by telephone in order to maintain a constant close link. An approach that contrasts with the Deschamps method.

The new break with the Deschamps method

During his mandate, the former coach preferred to massively delegate this task of observation in the stands to his trusted assistants, in particular Guy Stéphan or the goalkeeper coach Franck Raviot. On a human level, Deschamps also made less demands on his players directly outside of rallies, except for specific relays or major injuries.

We should therefore regularly see Zinedine Zidane roaming the stadiums of the Old Continent before the next international break in November. On this occasion, the Tricolores will travel to Italy (November 12), before hosting Turkey (November 15), as part of the League of Nations.
