Hugo Ekitike withdraws from the 2026 World Cup

Sidelined from the field since his Achilles tendon rupture suffered on April 14 against PSG, in the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League, Hugo Ekitike is still in treatment. The French international (45 caps, 17 goals) spent his convalescence at Clairefontaine in September, and he has since returned to Liverpool with the ambition of quickly returning to the field.
