Javier Tebas took advantage of the First National Conference on Journalism and Sport, organized in Galicia, to once again attack Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez. The president of LaLiga notably described the Madrid club as“the most rebellious team in Spain”due to a vision of football that he does not share. Tebas also mentioned the Super League project, from which he fears a new development: “he stopped the Super League in its tracks, as Florentino wanted, but another Super League is being set up, in slow motion. If we do not react, we will have a two-tier football system. »

Faced with this threat, the Spanish leader believes that the balance of European football must be preserved, with clubs of different sizes capable of cohabiting in the same system. “We have built exceptional football over 20 years, and we must defend it: we cannot let it escape us. In this train there are locomotives, like Real Madrid or Barça, but we also need wagons”he explained. As the newspaper reports A.S.Tebas also defended the current model of distribution of television rights and refused to comment on the price of tickets for the next Clásico, believing that this question was a direct responsibility of the clubs.
