Friday evening, the French team launches its Nations League campaign with a perilous trip to Türkiye. For his first match at the head of the Blues, Zinedine Zidane will have to respond immediately. To do this, the new national coach will obviously count on his captain, Kylian Mbappé. Self-proclaimed candidate for the Ballon d’Or, the Bondynois is expected to turn the corner and could find his favorite left wing. A position that he likes, but which will require him to make defensive efforts. While waiting to see the result, Christophe Dugarry clearly invited Mbappé to get moving.
“He will have to wake up, Mbappé. He scores goals, there’s no problem about that, but he doesn’t win competitions anymore. With Real Madrid, he no longer wins. With the French team, he no longer wins. After a while, he will have to win competitions. And Zizou will have the same speech with Mbappé: “do you want us to win or just score your goals and show off?” After a while, the subject will be there. It’s been years since we’ve earned anything.”he confided to the microphone of RMC.
