While Real Madrid has not been able to do so for two seasons, with a blank season last season and above all already falling behind in the La Liga standings over Barça, the former faithful assistant of Carlo Ancelotti, his son Davide Ancelotti, now coach of LOSC, spoke out and clearly explained what Real Madrid is currently missing, implying that the departures of Modric and Kroos have changed everything for the White House.
“Real Madrid? I don’t want anything I say to be interpreted as criticism. When Modric or Kroos played, the ball found the starting player every time. To play a vertical game, you need someone who knows how to deliver the pass. Playing vertically doesn’t just mean having eight players who can run, it also means having someone who can throw them. » he told the newspaper A.S.enough to confirm that there is indeed an element missing in the midfield at Real Madrid.
