Cristiano Ronaldo can’t fight with age. Now in his forties, he no longer costs much on the transfer market.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in the twilight of his career. Obviously, at 41, his market value is no longer likely to reach new heights.

Currently, if a club wanted to poach the five-time Ballon d’Or, it would have to pay compensation estimated between 8 and 10 million euros per Transfermarkt. As a reminder, the Portuguese international is linked to Al-Nassr until June 2027.

A sum considerably far from the 120 million euros, at which its value was assessed in two separate periods by the German portal. The first time between October 2014 and July 2015, when he was a real scoring machine at Real Madrid. After falling a little afterwards, it had risen to the same level in January 2018, although CR7 was already 32 years old at the time.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the same value as Neymar

It was also at a relatively close price, namely 117 million euros, that the Merengue club transferred him to Juventus Turin during the summer transfer window of that year. Since then, its market value has continued to decrease year after year.

However, it remains particularly high for a player of his age. Transfermarkt keeps it in a high range thanks to its still high volume of goals and its marketing impact. For comparison, he would cost roughly the same as Neymar, who is seven years younger than him.
