Initially included in Zinedine Zidane’s staff, podiatrist Marc Retali was finally dismissed after a media outing which was not appreciated.

We finally know the complete composition of Zinedine Zidane’s staff in the France team. Before the disclosure of the first list of “Zizou” this Friday (6 p.m.), the French Football Federation revealed this Tuesday the members who will accompany the 98 world champion in his mission, with a little surprise.

While podiatrist Marc Retali was chosen to join Zidane’s staff in the first version published on the FFF website in August, the Alsatian disappeared from the final version published this Tuesday. He was replaced by Serge Isidoro, who played for Benfica and the Nanterre basketball club.

“The duty of confidentiality was not respected”

The reason for Marc Retali’s sidelining? The latter provoked the anger of Hervé Collado, the new doctor of the Blues, after announcing his appointment on his social networks before the officialization of the FFF. He even gave an interview to RMC in which he expressed his joy at being part of Zidane’s team.

A media release which was not validated by the FFF and which pissed off the new selection doctor, Hervé Collado.
