The young Frenchman Tidiam Gomis, who arrived from Caen last season, scored his first goal in the Bundesliga on a cross from Congolese neo-international Banzuzi (17th, 1-0). Antonio Nusa brought the score to 2-0 a few minutes later by taking advantage of a huge opponent restart error (28th, 2-0).
The stainless Willi Orban hit the nail on the head (72nd, 3-0), while Christopher Nkunku, who entered following Ouedraogo’s injury in the first period, scored his first goal since his return to Leipzig this summer after enormous work from Nusa on the side (4-0, 74th). Romulo Cardoso finished the job straight away (5-0, 77th). Leipzig climbs to 4th place in the championship.
