After Estéban Lepaul, Mathieu Udol or Pablo Pagis, the newspaper Le Parisien gives a new player who received a pre-call-up from Zinédine Zidane’s French team. He is a little-known midfielder playing in Serie A.

It’s the last weekend of the championship to convince Zinédine Zidane and his staff! Almost two months after his induction at the head of the French team, the legend of French football unveils his very first list at the head of the Blues, next Friday at the FFF headquarters (6 p.m.), for four Nations League matches in two weeks against Turkey, Belgium twice and Italy. With so many matches during this extended international window, the group should consist of 25 or 26 players.

If he promised to bring his touch, but in the continuity of his predecessor Didier Deschamps, since he will obviously be based on the French cracks of the 2026 World Cup, “Zizou” could offer some new features. In Ligue 1, last season’s top scorer Estéban Lepaul received a pre-call-up, as did Pablo Pagis, a promising nine and a half. Two RC Lens players are also among the fifty pre-selected players, young central defender Ismaëlo Ganiou and left back Mathieu Udol.

Zidane targets Fabregas protégé

Enzo Le Fée, creative midfielder, who shines with Sunderland in the Premier League, is also warned of a possible call-up next Friday. The Parisian gives a new name a few days before Zidane’s media reappearance. Como midfielder Lucas Da Cunha has been pre-summoned. The Stade Rennais-trained player, 25, is a leader of Cesc Fabregas’ team, which is probably one of the best teams collectively speaking in Serie A.

Da Cunha revealed himself late at the highest level. Former Rennes hopeful and French U16, U17, U18 and U19 international until 2019, this 1.76 m left-hander did not win at OGC Nice or even at Clermont Foot in 2022, in Ligue 1. It was his departure for Italy, in Serie B, which freed him and Fabregas completely transformed him in 2025 within the fluid football of the Spanish technician. Last season, starting from a deep position, he scored 8 goals in 42 matches, in addition to his 5 assists.
