FC Barcelona has closed its transfer window, but Deco already has several important files on his desk. According to Mundo Deportivoafter securing Hamza Abdelkarim until 2030, the club now wants to improve the contracts of Marc Bernal, Gerard Martín, Xavi Espart and Brian Fariñas, four youngsters who have gained importance under Hansi Flick. Discussions have already started with the entourage of Bernal, 19, whose lease runs until 2029 and the release clause reaches 500 million euros. Gerard Martín, linked to Barça until 2028, must also obtain an extension of several seasons, accompanied by a salary increase and a new release clause.

Barça also wants to bring the contracts of Xavi Espart and Brian Fariñas into line with their new status. Espart, 19, has established himself in the first team this season while still on a salary commensurate with that of a reserve player. The situation is similar for Fariñas, 20, whom Flick finally decided to keep after Frenkie de Jong’s injury and who should extend until 2031. These four files now constitute a priority for sports management after a summer marked by the arrivals of Rodri, Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, Gabriel Jesus, João Cancelo and Jesse Bisiwu. The case of Raphinha, under contract until 2028, must also be studied.
