Fabio Silva opened the scoring after a 70-meter run and an opening from Guirassy behind a sluggish defense (5th, 1-0). Guirassy was then deprived of two goals by the VAR for offside, but Nmecha made the break at the end of the match eliminating a defender with a feint shot, before adjusting the opposing goalkeeper (80th, 2-0). The German even scored a double a few minutes later (89th, 3-0).
At the same time, Friborg also extended its start to the season without a false note by correcting Gladbach 5-0. Engelhardt (23rd, 79th), Matanovic (29th, 77th) and Eggestein (86th) scored the goals for the locals, provisionally leaders of the championship.
