FC Barcelona has formalized the extension of its nugget Hamza Abdelkarim. The young 18-year-old Egyptian striker has reached an agreement with the Catalan club to extend his contract until June 2030. A reward for the player who arrived last season with the U19s and who quickly convinced in Catalonia. Selected with Egypt for the 2026 World Cup, he notably revealed himself to the general public during the summer preparation before making his official debut with the first team against Rayo Vallecano.
Initially linked to Barça until June 2029, Abdelkarim was considered one of the young elements to be quickly secured by the Blaugrana management. His release clause, so far set at only 15 million euros, was notably considered particularly accessible. Barça had therefore started discussions to strengthen it in the long term and avoid seeing one of its new talents attract covetousness. This is now done with this extension until 2030.
