This summer, Richarlison (29) clearly opened the door to a departure from Tottenham. He even informed Roberto De Zerbi, who had spoken about it publicly. Subsequently, there was talk of a return to Everton, a club where he had already played. The idea was for Iliman Ndiaye to go in the opposite direction. Except that the former OM finally said yes to Manchester City, thus compromising the Brazilian’s chances of returning to the Toffees. Despite offers from the latter, the Spurs ultimately did not open the door. In the player’s entourage, it is believed that Tottenham and RDZ compromised this transfer. Those close to Richarlison also blame the Londoners for the failure of his transfer to Trabzonspor. A club which had made two offers. The first of around €17.5 million. The second was a little over €23 million. They were all refused.

Annoyed, the Brazilian then published a press release to demand more respect from his employer. But his exit did not have the desired effect since he was excluded from the list of players selected by RDZ for the Premier League. The Auriverde international could, in the best case scenario, only play in cups with the pros. After all these twists and turns, Richarlison and his entourage decided to take legal action in order to terminate his contract and be able to freely join Vasco da Gama, who wishes to recruit him. Tottenham is not against his departure to Brazil, but is asking for more than €23 million for his transfer. Which I refuse to pay the Brazilian team, which cannot afford to pay that much. Globo Esporte assures that the Richarlison clan will therefore take legal action to put an end to its contract, supposed to end in June 2027. The standoff continues.
