No longer seen in the Champions League since its sad elimination in the group stage in 2023, Manchester United negotiated their first match of the league phase perfectly this Thursday. Opposed to the modest Sabah Baku, the Red Devils did not go into detail and won easily (4-0). For its part, Como played and won for the very first C1 meeting in its history (4-1 against RB Leipzig).
For United, the imbalance of power was immediately evident. Despite their good will, the Sabah Baku players were too timid and a little too limited for this duel. Author of a double and the first goal for his team, Martin Baturina will have left his mark on the match. In the ranking, Como occupies fifth place.
The next meeting in C1 will take place in a month, after the international window. Manchester United will travel to Atlético de Madrid, while Como travels to Rotterdam to face Feyenoord.
