After its big victory against Rayo (5-2) last weekend and more generally its great start in La Liga (3 victories in 3 matches), FC Barcelona traveled to Valencia to try to continue its flawless performance. For this trip, Hansi Flick could count on the presence of Lamine Yamal in the starting eleven despite uncertainty at the start of the week. On the attacking front, he was accompanied by Anthony Gordon and Raphinha at the forefront of the attack. In midfield, Rodri had his first start as a starter.

The Spanish World Champion was associated with Fermin and Pedri while Jules Koundé was still on the bench at kick-off. And in this meeting, we must not arrive late because very quickly, Lamine Yamal opened the scoring. The Spanish striker, with an exterior that he has the secret of, found the fault after just a few minutes (4th, 1-0). In the process, he even scored a double before his goal was finally canceled for a very slight offside position (7th). A short respite for Valencia who conceded the waves without really reacting.

Barça on the move

And finally, in the logic of things, Barça took cover shortly before the half-hour mark thanks to Fermin. The Spanish attacking midfielder, already a decisive passer for Lamine Yamal, scored his 4th goal of the season with a beautiful strike from outside the area (22nd, 2-0). Valencia reacted timidly through Danjuma who took advantage of an error from Jules Koundé, who had just come on after the injury to Eric Garcia. The Frenchman was saved by Joan Garcia who made a nice save (33rd).

Upon returning from the locker room, Barça quickly took cover thanks to Raphinha (50th). In the process, the Catalans played their football and scored two new goals from Pedri and Lamine Yamal. The Spanish winger ended up scoring his double at the end of what was still an exceptional game on his part. With this new big success (5-0), Barça continues its flawless performance and becomes sole leader of La Liga. Valencia, outclassed, could never exist.
