Manchester City scored a second victory in the Premier League by winning at Crystal Palace. After quickly taking control of the match, the Skyblues opened the scoring thanks to Erling Haaland (1-0, 17th), perfectly served by Antoine Semenyo. Rayan Cherki then took charge: the Frenchman scored a magnificent first goal before signing a double five minutes later, just a few moments after Palace reduced the gap on a free kick from Yérémy Pino deflected into his own net by Gianluigi Donnarumma (3-1, 59th).

City definitely killed the suspense thanks to Haaland, author of his second goal of the evening on a serve from Phil Foden (4-1, 84th). The Norwegian thus brings his impressive record to 164 goals in 201 meetings with Manchester City. The evening was also marked by the first minutes in the Premier League of Ayyoub Bouaddi, who entered in the 82nd minute. With 18 shots including 9 on target, Enzo Maresca’s men largely controlled the debates at Selhurst Park and moved to the top of the Premier League, unlike Palace, dead last.
