Olympique Lyonnais is preparing to experience the last few hours of the transfer window which are particularly hectic. After missing its qualification for the Champions League, the Rhone club finds itself obliged to make several sales in order to rebalance its finances. Paulo Fonseca himself recognized this recently, explaining that economic constraints could push certain important elements towards the exit. Malick Fofana is particularly highly sought after, while Duje Caleta-Car, Ruben Kluivert, Malick Fofana, Ernest Nuamah and Pavel Šulc are among the players likely to leave.

Nicolás Tagliafico is also concerned. At 33 years old and under contract until 2027, the Argentine world champion is attracting the interest of Juventus, who wish to further strengthen their left lane before the market closes. Starting against Le Havre but not used in the Champions League play-offs against Fenerbahçe, the former Ajax player also represents a possibility of recovering compensation and reducing Lyon’s payroll. And the file has seriously advanced in recent hours.

Everything will depend on Juan Cabal

In today’s edition, La Stampa announces that Juventus have already reached an agreement with Olympique Lyonnais for the transfer of the Argentinian, who would be ready to join Turin in the last hours of the transfer window. But nothing is finalized at the moment, because his arrival however directly depends on the future of Juan Cabal. Atalanta wants to recover the Colombian full-back and, if this operation materializes, the Old Lady should then take action to bring Tagliafico to Continassa.

Everything now rests on this game of dominoes. If Atalanta manages to snatch Juan Cabal from Juventus, Nicolás Tagliafico should immediately head to Turin. The Argentinian has already agreed to join the Old Lady and is just waiting for the green light to pack his bags. Otherwise, the operation will be postponed until this winter. Tagliafico’s future will be decided today for OL, who could also see Malick Fofana move to Arsenal.
